Come join us once a month on the Friday of Part 4 for an electrifying dance event! Immerse yourself in iconic dance moves, hustles, line dances, and make new friends! Each dance event promises a distinct theme, inviting students to dress the part and fully embrace the vibe. Following the thrilling first dance lesson of the evening, there is a 30-minute break to refresh and watch our talented enrolled students showcase their newly acquired dance routines from the month. After this interlude, you'll hit the dance floor once more for your final lesson. Don't miss out – come revel in the rhythm!

Each Dance Event has its own unique theme and focus, so what you learn varies from month to month. We like to spotlight iconic artists and dance styles while getting into the spirit by dressing in a way that follows suit. Below are a few examples of what we teach:

LINE DANCING

Line dance is a choreographed dance where a group of people follow a repeating sequence of steps while standing in one or more rows or lines. Typically, the lines face the same direction, although sometimes they may face each other. Iconic Line Dance Choreographies:

HUSTLES

Hustles are energetic dances characterized by smooth, fluid movements, spins, and turns. In Detroit, hustles are popular due to their connection to the city's rich musical history. It's a great choice for beginners and can be performed in a wide variety of music genres. Hustles are known as a line dance, which involves two or more people moving together in sync. However, there are some variations of the hustle that can be danced in a line or group setting. Iconic Hustle Choreographies:

ICONIC CHOREOGRAPHY

We like to center some of the dance events around artists like Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson because of their fun, iconic choreography and dance moves. We either teach specific choreography from one music video or tour performance, or we teach an array of moves and put them into one sequence while jamming to various hit songs! These events are super fun to dress up for, as it adds to the whole experience!
