How can I apply to the Jordan Mac Certificate Program?
Students can apply for the Jordan Mac Studios Dance Certificate Program by attending one of our summer workshop auditions or by submitting a video demo with electronic application. The application can be found here.

Is there an application fee?
Yes, the application fee for the Certificate Program is $45.
​
Can I arrange for a private audition?
Yes, students should call our studio at 248-688-9816 to schedule an audition.
​
How long must I wait to re-audition for a program if I have not been accepted the first time?
Students may audition once per calendar year. If you are not accepted at your first audition, you must wait until the following year to try again.

When will I be notified of my audition/application status?
Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail within three weeks of audition.
​
May I receive a critical evaluation of my audition?
No, Jordan Mac Studios does not provide performance critiques or discuss the panel’s decision after an audition.

What style of dance should the student be trained in?
Students should be trained in either Hip-Hop or Modern/Jazz. In some cases, Faculty Advisors may feel a student should concentrate on both styles. This is decided on a case-by-case basis.

Does Jordan Mac Studios provide assistance in finding housing for out-of-state students during the academic year?
No. Unfortunately, we do not provide assistance with housing for students.
Does Jordan Mac Studios provide assistance in finding housing for out-of-state students participating in the Summer Intensive?
No. Unfortunately, we do not provide assistance with housing for students.

Can I perform or take classes outside of the school?
Yes, as long as activities do not conflict with class times, filming dates, rehearsals, photoshoots or performances.

Are scholarships available?
Yes, a limited number of merit-based scholarships are available to students accepted into the Certificate Program. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis for use during the academic year and summer term by audition only.

Am I allowed to take additional classes at Jordan Mac Studios while pursuing my full-time studies?
Yes, students who are enrolled in any of the full-time programs are welcome to attend any other Jordan Mac Studio classes as long as such activities do not conflict with class times, filming dates, rehearsals, photoshoots or performances.
